Introduction

Climate 2.0 is a series of informal conversations under the ClimaComms initiative by SLYCAN Trust. It aims to bring together a diverse group of individuals, from those deeply involved in climate action to those working in different fields. The goal is to ensure holistic discussions on pressing environmental topics, fostering a collaborative approach to tackling climate challenges. By bridging gaps between various sectors and perspectives, Climate 2.0 seeks to create a more inclusive and comprehensive dialogue on our future.

This iteration of Climate 2.0 focuses on local-level access to climate finance for enhancing community resilience and addressing loss and damage, facilitating impactful discussions and actionable outcomes.

Objectives

The objective of this Climate 2.0 event is to explore the importance of local -level access to climate finance and evidence-based communications around it, particularly in the context of adaptation, resilience-building, and responding to loss and damage. Through a collaborative dialogue, participants will focus on exchanging their experiences and understanding challenges and opportunities for effective financing that reaches vulnerable communities on the ground.
