SLYCAN Trust is an internationally recognized non-profit think tank working on climate change, sustainable development, biodiversity and ecosystem conservation, animal welfare, innovation and entrepreneurship, and social justice including gender and youth empowerment. We are active on the global, regional, national, and local level, with a particular focus on the countries of the Global South.
The Technical Expert will conduct and contribute to research activities under SLYCAN Trust’s food systems programme, including research related to plant-based food production and alternative protein sources; sustainable and ethical food systems; climate and disaster risk management in food systems; and food entrepreneurship and other relevant thematic areas under the food systems programme. The Expert will also provide research, knowledge management, and coordination support to the SLYCAN Trust team in functions related to geographical mapping and profiling in cultivation, production efficiency, and disaster and climate risk management for plant-based alternative protein options available in Sri Lanka.
