Workshop on Enhancing Climate-Friendly Entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka

Introduction

This workshop aims to build the capacities of entrepreneurs and provide a space for engagement with other stakeholders, such as policymakers or representatives from the banking and finance sector. The session will also include an in-depth discussion on the operational challenges faced by entrepreneurs and the importance of planning, risk management, and knowledge-sharing.Furthermore, the role of policy interventions to support climate entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka will be discussed in an open forum, providing participants the opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, ask questions, and share their insights on relevant thematic areas.

• Building capacities for climate-friendly, ethical, and sustainable entrepreneurship and enhancing the enabling environment.

• Identifying operational challenges faced by entrepreneurs and sharing experiences, good practices, and success stories.

• Identifying solutions to the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka across key thematic areas and sectors.

Discussing the way forward for EthicalX and future opportunities for engagement and scaling up climate-friendly, sustainable, ethical, and resilient entrepreneurship.
