In the face of increasingly intense and complex climate risks, there is a need for urgent action. Climate change acts as a stressor that exacerbates insecurities and conflicts, and components related to security and conflict impact resources, livelihoods, and longterm resilience. Technology and innovation play a pivotal role in addressing the security-climate nexus, with the potential to serve as an essential enabler of resilience or a source of new inequalities and geopolitical risks. However, in fragile situations where central governance is contested, innovation must be localized to remain effective. Endogenous capacities, drawing on local capacities supported by accessible financing and indigenous knowledge and genderresponsive approaches, are at the center of countries' abilities to respond to multiple challenges.
