SLYCAN Trust

SLYCAN Trust is a non for profit organization based in Sri Lanka, which works to contribute to collective local and global efforts to address impacts of climate change, animal welfare, as well as social and economic issues hindering social justice. Organisation’s works at the national, regional and international level, and aims to achieve its objectives through policy and legal research, advocacy, knowledge sharing, action campaigns, ground level action, outreach and networking with like-minded organisations, awareness creation and capacity building. SLYCAN seeks to see a world where the voices of the vulnerable and the marginalized are taken into consideration in decision making and multi-stakeholder driven policy making and implementation, where grass root actors have an active role in leading change for a healthier climate and a more sustainable future.

Prakriti Resources Centre

Established in 2015, Prakriti Resources Centre (PRC) is a non-governmental organization working for sustainable development and environmental justice in Nepal. The organization aims to carve a niche in the areas of national and international climate policy processes, climate finance, climate resilient and low carbon development practices, and loss and damage associated with climate change impacts, as part of the work portfolio. PRC conducts research and study, carry out policy intervention, build awareness, knowledge and capacity of civil society organizations, government and the private sector, and facilitate dialogue among multiple stakeholders in line with the thematic work areas of the PRC’s work portfolio. The organization work through alliance and collaboration with government and other national, regional and global actors in the aforementioned areas, and advocate for environmental-friendly and disaster responsive policy and practices. All projects, activities, and practices of PRC consist of gender equality, social inclusion and good governance as cross cutting themes.

ICCCAD

The International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) is one of the leading research and capacity building organisations working on climate change and development in Bangladesh. ICCCAD’s aim is to develop a world-class institution that is closely related to local experience, knowledge and research in one of the countries that is most affected by climate change. Organisation’s mission is to gain and distribute knowledge on climate change and, specifically, adaptation and thereby help people to adapt to climate change with a focus on the global south. By focusing on such work in Bangladesh, ICCCAD allows international participants to gain direct knowledge of the issues in a real-world context. Goals of the organization include training future and current leaders on climate change and development; conducting research to generate peer reviewed publications on climate change and development, with a focus on climate change adaptation; building capacity, specifically for LDCs; building and leading a network of partners, mainly consisting of Southern based institutes.
