The SLYCAN Trust EU Work Programme focuses on analysing the European Union’s policy and governance landscape across the full spectrum of the climate agenda, including adaptation, mitigation, loss and damage, climate finance, food systems, biodiversity, and just transition. It assesses key legislative developments, institutional processes, and strategic frameworks, and generating evidence that identifies emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities shaping the EU’s contribution to global climate action.
The efforts under the work programmes aims to create a knowledge base and foster discourse for participatory and inclusive action, as well as strengthening the interlinkages between EU policies and broader international climate frameworks and objectives. It also aims to enhance transparency, coherence, and ambition in climate governance through research, dialogue, and multi-stakeholder engagement.
